Hello! I know, I know… It’s been a while since I’ve updated the site with new projects.
My wonderful sister-friend, “Mudee Paws,” taught me a new crafting skill and I’ve been loving it! The title gives it away, but if you haven’t guessed by now for some reason, it’s crochet! It’s so relaxing to sit back in my chair (my back and neck thank me for that!) and just still be able to use my hands to create. Very satisfying.
I’ve found patterns from lots of wonderful yarn artists much more experienced than myself and since I’ve been enjoying myself so much, I’ll be adding my crochet makes to the Etsy store once I get a few more done. The first ones will be in honor of Pride Month to support those of us who are LGBTQ+ .
While it is wonderful to have an “official” time to celebrate and be recognized during this time, it’s important to remember that visibility is relevant at all times of the year. For every person out there who is out and proud, there are others that believe they are better off dead for wanting loving, meaningful, wholesome relationships, and/or identities outside of the “societal norm”.
That is far from okay.
