“There once was a beautiful woman who lived near the edge of a vast forest. Against her father’s wishes, she used to spend the day exploring its edge. One fall day, when her father grew ill, she ventured deep into the forest, looking for a plant that she might use to create a cure for him. She befriended a great and gentle creature there. It was a huge Satyr, with brown furred legs and beautiful white horns. It gave her the plant she needed to save her father.

“Her father allowed her to enter the woods to see her newfound friend. She continued to visit that friend every single day, even after her father had long since passed and she was married herself. When she was old and was barely able to walk, she left her husband and her children to enter the woods one final time. The Satyr emerged some days later to give her husband this mask without so much as a word.“
